This is so simple I cannot believe I have not seen it before, but my hat is off to Flickr Strobist member nomoveon, who apparently combined a time exposure of a moving light source with a well-placed flash-freeze of a jumping person.I am going to have to let my five-year-old try out his Star Wars "blaster" for an homage to this cool combination of techniques!
